What do I do if I'm sick or cannot make it in for my shift?

Please always CALL us (do not text) at 612-239-9893 immediately when you know that you can no longer make it to your scheduled shift. We have someone on-call 24/7 so if your call is not answered, please leave a message and our on-call staff will get back to you ASAP.

I accepted a shift that I am no longer able to work. What should i do?

Please CALL Heidi ASAP at 612-239-9893 ext.102 to discuss. Though we will do our best to find coverage, it is the responsibility of the provider to cover the shift in the event alternative coverage cannot be found.

is there a penalty for missing a shift?

Our app uses a star rating system to rate all of our providers on their overall job performance. If a provider misses a shift and it is considered an unexcused absence, their star rating will automatically drop by two points. Providers with lower star ratings are not able to view shifts for which the office has requested highly-rated providers only and will have lesser priority for shifts that have multiple applicants.

I am running late to my shift - what do I do?

Please call us at 612-239-9893 with an estimated time of arrival and we will inform the office that you are running late.

At what point After arriving at an office should I clock in for my shift? and How soon after i finish up for the day should I clock out?

Providers are not to clock in for their shift until they are in the office, in uniform, and ready to begin working. At the end of the shift, providers should clock out as soon as their tasks are complete and before leaving the office. All time punches must occur inside the office and should not be done from your car, the parking lot, etc.

I arrived at my assigned office and was told they no longer need help. What do I do?

Please stay at the office and call Dental Experts immediately. We will speak with the office to determine the best course of action. Do not leave without the approval of Dental Experts.

What is the office cancellation policy for Dental Experts?

If a confirmed shift is canceled or shortened within 24 business hours of the shift's start time, every office will be charged for the full shift and our providers (you) will be paid for the hours that you were scheduled to work.

  • A full-shift charge will also apply if a provider is sent home before their scheduled end time, assuming the provider has offered to assist the office in other ways and the office has declined. Always get approval to leave early.
  • If the schedule changes or falls apart and our providers (you) have the opportunity to fulfill the shift by assisting with other tasks in the office, but choose to leave instead, the office will not be charged for the full shift and the provider (you) will be paid only for the hours that were worked. Should this happen for you, it will be important that you let us know the circumstances of your shift change so that we can bill the office (and pay you) accordingly.

  • As a reminder, if you clock out early or take a longer than expected break, please note in your timecard that either:
    • A) I should be paid for the full scheduled shift as I offered to help with all downtime tasks OR
    • B) I should be paid only as my clock in and out times show
